We offer both traditional (legacy) telephone systems, such as Panasonic, NEC and Samsung, that utilise analogue and digital technology, alternatively we also offer the 'next generation' of voice communications, known as Hosted IP, a service that connects via your broadband and allows you to become extensions of a large and very feature rich system that is located in a secure, reliable and extremely robust environment.

Panasonic

The KXTDA is a next generation product, combining PBX reliability with IP technology offering efficient and flexible communication. It cost effectively bridges the gap between the telecom requirements today, and the demand for future integrated solutions.

The Panasonic KXTDA range of systems includes the KX-TDA15, KX-TDA30, KX-TDA100 and KX-TDA200 products.

The Panasonic KX-TDA  is the perfect business telephone system for smaller branches/shops or even as a small office/home office (SOHO) phone system. This hybrid pbx enabled for Voice over IP (VoIP) is the latest piece in the KXTDA jigsaw and will grow up to 256 extensions, although we mainly supply this system to the smaller SME market place and we would predict that Panasonic have a very large market share of companies that have 20 users or less.

Introducing the XN120 Telephone System from NEC

The NEC XN120 is the phone system that really is suitable for all small growing businesses. It is the only phone system that can be configured to 3 exchange lines and eight extensions and can be expanded to 72 extensions. This is the system designed to bring corporate call features to the small and medium size business. The system comes from NEC Infrontia that is part of the global communications leader NEC who have been offering telecommunications solutions Globally for over thirty years.

The XN120 continues this tradition of cutting edge communication as it is the only telephone system for the SMEs that allows connection to the broadband SIP network

Dispensing with the acronyms, what does XN120 give you?

The XN120 gives you a telephone system that will connect with the traditional phone network and other networks such as the IP network. This flexibility in design makes the XN120 future proof so it will work with emerging  services like BT’s 21 CN Network.

This flexibility also means the phone system will connect to existing phone equipment such as modems, wireless DECT phones and answering machines. The ability of the XN120 to combine with existing telecommunication equipment make it easy for staff and customers to adapt to a new system.

The XN120 has all the features you would expect from a large corporate phone system.

Hosted IP

What is Hosted IP?

When a company deploys a Hosted IP solution they are effectively linking in to a ‘very large telephone system’ that is sat off-site, usually based in a Data Centre which offers a very robust environment. Data Centres have multiple carriers providing service into their building, plus there is a huge amount of resilience and disaster recovery on-site, and given the fact the buildings are also bomb proof- system failures are rare if ever. However, if there was a problem, then there is another switch located at another Data Centre offering transparent back-up to the main site.

How does our Hosted IP solution work?

As mentioned, the telephone handsets that you have located within your offices are extensions on a much larger system. The connection back to that system is through a broadband connection, and depending on the size of your organisation will depend on whether you can use your existing broadband connection (less than 5-10 users) or whether you should have a dedicated broadband for your voice calls (10 users or more). Put the technology to one side for the moment, but when you make the connection through the internet it is then directed back to the main system, hosted at the Data Centre, once it reaches the system it is then directed through regular service, via ISDN, to the person you are dialling. This system is not a ‘Skype’ service, which is where people get confused, and the telephone call that you are making is not travelling entirely over the internet, it is more stable than that.

What are the features and benefits?

The main benefits of using Hosted IP are that there is little investment from day one on actual equipment, plus you are not investing into what could be redundant equipment a few years down the road, manufacturers of telephone systems usually update their equipment every couple of years, which usually means more expenditure for the end user. Another major benefit with Hosted IP is that you can increase/decrease the amount of users on the system very easily, without any additional capital costs, or by potentially losing money made from an initial investment. Add when you need to, purchase more licenses, subtract if required, cancel licenses. Easy.
